Start exploring our games, exercises and resources for Japanese. The menu below is divided between Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sections to suit all levels. You can check your progress on your scoring in vocabulary games with the percentage shown on the menu items. Subscribe below to get daily email reports for a record of your progress.
The Beginner's menu will lead you through small sets of vocabulary to start out learning Japanese, with a variety of games available to learn the words. Start by reviewing the words for Set 1 under the Word Sets menu, learn a few of the words, then play the games to start building your score.
Learn Hiragana and Katakana progressively with our audio games Bingo and Hidden Image. The Kana syllabaries are also broken down into small sets so you can learn incrementally. Play the games until you have a solid familiarity with each set, then add another set of Kana into the games and continue to expand your knowledge.
The Intermediate section expands on the vocabulary and divides words into categories. The same games are available to help you learn them. Click on Vocabulary Sets to focus on a single category at a time. The Intermediate section also has a harder crossword with a wider vocabulary.
The Advanced section will lead you through our Progressive games to work your way through an extensive vocabulary from the most common to advanced words.

The user section is tailored to your usage of this site. Go to the Settings page to note your automatically generated user id. This is all you need to keep track of your activity on Lexis Rex. You can enter it on other devices to synchronise your scores. If you lose it you may lose all your scoring, so please note it down somewhere.
